| It's probably easier for an immigrant, like me, to see the vacuum of logic when people discuss the issue of illegal immigration. Most of the people call them "lawbreakers", "criminals" and nobody wants to face the Truth, because we'd rather not deal with it.
We don't want to face the fact that we, the American people, allowed our government to setup NAFTA (a 21st century system of slavery), that helped to further devastate and impoverish Mexican people.
We allow our government to create Immigration Laws and ignore their responsibility to enforce these laws - through the “Military Border Protection”. It's like telling the people that stealing is illegal and, at the same time, not allowing having the locks on our doors.
Based on the reports I've seen, more than 400 Mexicans had died last year while trying to cross our border (i.e. from lack of water, food, etc.). We'll never know the real number of South Americans who endured atrocities committed and still being carried out by the criminal industry of “Human Trafficking” - which we allowed to setup here in our back yard, by not putting the military on our borders.
These people, including women and children, are killed, used as slaves, tortured, raped and molested, while we talk about the law and the effects of illegal immigration on our economy. Most people who allow and assist in committing such crimes against humanity would be prosecuted and sent to jail. Yet, these people - our government - rule in our name without any accountability!!! (And we wonder why we are not respected around the world?) We twist the law to fit our needs and allow ourselves to turn against the most vulnerable of the groups amongst us, with a 'genuine conviction' in our path of righteousness.
I think that if we genuinely were interested in the Truth and Justice, we would use our power of impeachment to compel the 'Sheriff' to fulfill his obligations in protecting people and this country or force him out of the White House. Of course, it's much easier to blame the Mexicans. |
