| While watching a History channel or hear someone speak about a tragic point in our life, I cannot help but feel the astonishment when people accuse the monsters, of the past or the present, of crimes that "they" commit.
When stories are told about Hitler, we hear how “he” was able to enchant the public with his alluring speeches, and while spellbound and dazed, the ‘innocent victims’ were enthralled into his control.
When I spoke to someone about problems people were experiencing in the Soviet Union, in not so distant past, “Well, Stalin…” - people would try to explain.
How could one person be responsible for Tens of Millions of deaths? Well, the Truth, as always, is quite simple and in front of everyone, yet, beyond the reach of most.
I always new that there was something good in evil; since the universe chose to bring it into our lives. How else could we learn about ourselves - and evolve, if it were not for the tough and, sometimes, perilous choices that we make – or as more frequently throughout the years - don’t make, while facing the threat of evil?
How many of us now and in the past, stood idle and let the evil spread? Look around; and don’t forget to glance into the mirror, but not for too long – it’s frightening of what you may find staring back at you.
May be, instead of pointing a finger, we need to remind ourselves of the old saying: People deserve the ruler that they have. With such rulers, we are able to see ourselves for who we truly are.
